Rosie Huntington

RosieQueen Latifah was born Dana Elaine Owens on March 18, 1970, in Newark, New Jersey. Latifah was the second daughter born to Lance and Rita Owens. She is most well-known for her political involvement, acting skills and ability to rhyme. When she was 8 years old, her Muslim cousin named her Latifah which translates to "delicate" as well as "sensitive" in Arabic. Latifah sang with the choir of the Shiloh Baptist Church located in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Her first public performance , singing "Home" as one of two Dorothys in a stage production of The Wizard of Oz. Latifah's mom was a major influencer; she was in touch with the students and the music. Mark James, a local disc jockey, also popularly known as D.J., was invited to the event. Mark the 45 King was asked to sing at a school dance.
