The reporter has reported on various sports for major publications around the globe. She was a reporter for The Washington Post nearly a decade and covered Grand Slam Tennis and Grand Slam Football, as well playing basketball in multiple Olympics. In 2004, Nichols moved on to ESPN for nine years where she won 2 Emmy Awards and appeared on some of the network's most watched programs, like SportsCenter and NFL Countdown.
